Don't throw away the crumbly cookies!
I can't for the life of me get this photo to look right. It's supposed to be rotated -- and it is in the computer file. But no matter how I try, I can't get it to load that way on the blog. So if you tilt your head to the right, you'll get the right image.
Don't throw away your cookie attempts that disintegrate when you touch them. If they still taste good, they make pretty good crusts for cheesecake, pumpkin pie, bars, etc. when you crumble them up and mix them with melted butter and pat them into the dish. Bake it for a few minutes and then pour your filling.
The above photo is of pecan Scotch shortbread cookies that crumbled with a try at a flour blend. The others turned out well in this post.
